It appears that Santino has found himself a new ally in the romping stomping Funkasaurus. Some people may look at this pairing and say, “Come on, Brodus is over enough to be pushed as a singles competitor.” or “Way to devalue the U.S. Title by putting the champion in a tag team.” Anyone who agrees with the second sentiment needs to pump the breaks. We don’t know that they’ll be anything more than allies, and they might only be pairing them up long enough to feud with Ziggler and Swagger. Anyone who agrees with Brodus being over enough to be pushed solo, I’m right there with you. That doesn’t mean that aligning him with Santino is a bad idea, though. For as over as Brodus has become in such a short period of time, Santino is twice as over. This is a smart decision. I don’t they’ll be paired up long, but I think it’s definitely going to benefit The Funkasaurus. You know who else it’s going to benefit? US. These two are capable of creating some highly entertaining segments and matches, so let’s enjoy our funky ride on the cobra. Wow, that sounded way better in my head than it looks in writing. Oh well.
I loved seeing these genuine reactions at the HOF ceremony.

I’m hoping Miami’s insanity was enough to get this chant to catch on in other cities. Maybe people will finally stop saying “WHAT?” I’m not counting on that second part, though.
His debut/return was really well done. I’m a little confused as to why they didn’t just come out and say who he is, as opposed to just identifying him as “a former WWE Superstar”. It’s not like he looks different, besides having some new ink. Also, after spending that much time wrestling in Japan, it’s really not far fetched that he would come back to the WWE a different man/competitor. I thought that was strange, but good for him nonetheless. It’s got to be an awesome feeling for him to have stepped his game up to the point where the WWE felt that they needed to give him another shot.

I know I’m not alone in saying that I’m pumped to see Brock back in a wrestling ring. I don’t know if it’s a full-time return, or just a short stint to generate buzz, but either way I’m glad it’s happening. Seeing him hit that F5 on Cena, to me, was very reminiscent of The Attitude Era. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those people who thinks that a second coming of The Attitude Era is imminent or even within the realm of possibility. I’m simply saying Brock’s return reminded me of it. It was great to see the show end with such a huge question mark. I feel like that’s something that the WWE has been lacking as of late. Brock’s return was the exclamation point on a highly enjoyable episode of Monday Night Raw, and it’s been a long time since I was this excited about the upcoming Monday night.

Triple H versus The Undertaker with Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee was, beyond a shadow of a doubt, one of the best matches I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing. I’m posting this first entry simply for the sake of putting the key in the ignition and getting the engine running on this new blog. Let me make one thing perfectly clear; I’m not in the business of attributing star ratings or creating rankings. That’s not how my brain works, and that’s not the kind of fan I am. I’m here to talk wrestling, and for anyone who chooses to follow and participate in discussions with me, I’d like it to be as if we were friends sitting around casually discussing the business we love so much. I want this blog to be fun, I want it be honest, and I want it to have some personality. I’m hardly a professional journalist, although I’d like to think that my writing style would one day earn me that distinction. I’m here to be as raw (pun intended) as possible and flesh out my thoughts on the wrestling business. I hope you all enjoy what I have to say. Welcome to SUPERKICKED.
